Financial Accountant – Tiris Ressources

Tiris Ressources SA, a subsidiary of Aura Energy, is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to assist in managing the finance function in Mauritania.

Tiris Ressources is a subsidiary of Aura Energy Limited, an Australian Stock Exchange listed (ASX:AEE) Uranium company with projects located in Mauritania and Sweden. Tiris Ressources near-term production Tiris Uranium Project in Mauritania has significant opportunities for both resource and production profile expansion.  With the company poised to commence financing and ultimately construct and operate Mauritania’s first Uranium mine, the role of Financial Accountant will play a key part in supporting the execution of Tiris Ressources development plans in Mauritania.

About the Role

Reporting to our Tiris Ressources Financial Controller, this is a full-time role for an enthusiastic and hands-on Financial Accountant who is keen to grow with the company. Based in our new Nouakchott office, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with Company policies and Mauritanian statutory requirements. The role encompasses accounts payable, payroll, bookkeeping, tax and CNSS compliance, audit support, filing of financial statements and treasury functions. The Financial Accountant will ensure financial integrity while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and social security bodies.

About You

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an asset, or working towards the qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within Mauritania or West Africa and across multinational environments.
• Strong knowledge of Mauritanian tax and payroll legislation.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Excel; ERP experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to interact with stakeholders at various levels.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Written and oral proficiency in both French and English.
